Please be informed that our products are made using 100% natural wood, and we don't use any toxic chemicals to treat or protect them. The most “chemical” part of the wood preparing process is the stabilization which is done with cactus juice. There are very few people who might experience an allergic reaction to woods.
We suggest that while you are wearing the watch within the first few weeks, you should monitor your skin. If you begin to experience any discomfort on your wrist or any kind of itch or rash, please stop wearing the watch immediately and visit your doctor.
NOAH disclaims all responsibility for any resulting damages, injuries or expenses related to causes created by wearing the wooden watch. We do care about our customers and we will try to solve every issue though.

WOOD ALLERGY

We verified that a very small percentage of people experienced an allergic reaction from the Cocobolo, Padauk, Olive and Ziricote wood in the time the company has been selling these watches. At this time, NOAH hasn't experienced the result of allergic reactions in any other types of wood, but recommends for anyone who may be sensitive to wood, to be especially careful when choosing those particular models

The allergic reaction
The symptoms can vary among patients but generally, the allergic reaction to wood resembles contact dermatitis with some redness, swelling, blisters and irritation. Generally the allergic reaction appears after 24/48 hours of prolonged contact, and in few cases doesn't disappear when you stop wearing the watch, or may even get worse for a few days following its removal. We recommend that you see an allergist as soon as you notice a rash or irritation.

Consult your Doctor
If you think you are sensitive to wood, consult your doctor or an allergist. Physical evaluation, a medical history, and patch tests will help in finding the cause and rule out other disorders. The treatment will be mainly symptomatic as with other allergies. Antiallergy medications may be prescribed. If the reaction is mostly dermatologic, topical corticosteroids may be given (with prescription). Doctors should be informed that NOAH doesn't use any glue and doesn't treat the wood with any artificial chemicals.
