Zamfir 80: the watch made from a 500-year-old olive tree

In December 2023, Transilvania Business wrote about a special watch: the limited edition we created for master Gheorghe Zamfir's 80th birthday.

What Transilvania Business Wrote

The wood came directly from the master's team: an olive tree over 500 years old. On the dial is a 24-karat gold flute, set on ebony. On the back, a gold medallion with Gheorghe Zamfir's signature. The watch comes in an engraved wenge box, with a certificate of authenticity.

The series is limited to 80 watches, and part of the price of each goes towards building the Gheorghe Zamfir International Flute Academy.

A Watch That Tells a Story

We believe that a watch can remember something. Here, the story is an old olive tree and the music of a man who took the flute around the world. The wood is not painted or varnished, so each watch in the series has its own unique pattern.

Yes. The Zamfir 80 can still be ordered from the website and is made to order in our workshop in Cluj.
